Gastromyzon Genus has multiple collection points and places where they come from. (Sabah, Tauwu, Brunei, and Kalimantan)
Hillstream Loaches live in fast flowing waters, highly oxygenated little vegetation but the streams are filled with algae and microscopic creatures. The Gastromyzon Loach has a suction cup like structure holding its own to 10x times the size of its weight. Gastromyzon are rare to breed but multiple spawnings have happened with the constant success with building a natural identical biotope. Gastromyzon should be kept colder and are not as hardy as other hillstream counterparts such as Swellia Species (Lineolota, albisuera, Elongeta). or Chinese species (Beaufortia). Preferably 72-76 degrees Fahrenheit, They enjoy the constant hard flow and oxygenation of water but not required even though it is extremely appreciated.
Gastromyzon Species include G.Lepidogaster (Multiple collections and forms), G.Umbrus, G. Bloody Mary, G. Sk.02, G. Cranbrooki, G. Katibasensis, G. Russulus, G. Borneesis, G. Venustus, G. Flame Tiger. Etc
